Welcome to Quilts of Many Colors...my home studio. Please join me as we "gather round the frame" ...I am a quilter and a born again, again (yes that is possible!) Catholic/Christian!! My real life is as colorful as my quilts...honestly...my quilt stash is what is colorful. Isn't it just fun to open up that cupboard and just look at all those pieces of fabric that you can remember exactly where you got them all!!! You can even remember the project you bought that particular piece for (back in 1980) and bought that pattern that ...you haven't used yet....???? No wonder this title is beginnings...I'm always beginning a new project and not finishing the dozen others I have in the works...but honestly I don't see anything wrong with that. Well now after a few years I can look back and I do actually get things done....they are not just done one at a time. It's what works for me.
I am thankful tho for the three words that Jesus spoke just before he died for me...."It is finished". I need to remember that more often and reflect on that not just on Good Friday or during Holy Week or during the Lenten season. What he accomplished for me and for you allows us to be free to live for Him!! All he asks is that we love Him with all of our heart, all of our soul, all of our mind, all of our strength AND to love our neighbor as ourself.
I'm recognizing that it is possible to be hindered by all the busyness and I am working on balance. I am thankful for St. Benedict and his teachings. Can you believe that something that was wrote (I'm referring to "The Rule") back in the 600's is still so applicable to this day and age!
